In 2021, FNM Group implemented SAP S/4HANA Cloud as an ERP Financial solution. The deployment replaced SAP ERP ECC 6.0 and was executed with systems integrator Nordcom, aligning the S/4HANA Cloud rollout with FNM Group's prior decision to host SAP HANA services on Google Cloud Platform.
The implementation emphasized core finance functionality consistent with ERP Financial needs, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, controlling, and treasury capabilities. Configuration centered on S/4HANA Cloud standard finance processes and central ledger concepts to consolidate financial data and support real-time accounting workflows.
Architecturally, SAP S/4HANA Cloud was provisioned onto Google Cloud Platform infrastructure, leveraging Google Compute Engine for elastic capacity and integrating with G Suite productivity tools such as Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Hangouts to enable mobile work for employees. The program documented plans to extend analytics and machine learning by integrating Google BigQuery and Google Cloud AI as a future evolution of the platform.
Governance and rollout followed a cloud-first modernization agenda that began with a 2017 migration of SAP Business Suite workloads to Google Cloud with Innext, and continued in 2021 with the S/4HANA Cloud transition to deliver a scalable, adaptable finance platform. Leadership objectives named during the program included reducing costs, improving mobile work for employees, and creating an infrastructure that can adapt quickly to new market requirements.
