Ellucian Banner Time & Attendance was configured to deliver core Time and Attendance capabilities including employee time capture, timecard management, absence and leave tracking, scheduling and supervisor approval workflows, and payroll-ready time exports. Configuration work focused on aligning timekeeping rules and approval chains with higher education payroll cycles and institutional HR policies while using Banner HCM components for employee master data.
The deployment used the Ellucian Banner SaaS delivery model, centralizing configuration and policy enforcement across multiple Maryland campuses, with operational ownership anchored in HR and payroll administration. Operational scope included HR, payroll, student services and administrative staff, and campus-level time administrators and supervisors were assigned responsibility for local timecard validation and approvals.
