The NetSuite deployment was part of a 4M corporate and marketing systems portfolio supporting a 17 person organization that included Salesforce CRM Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Marketing Cloud, Drupal web platforms, and .Net applications.
Oracle NetSuite ERP was configured to deliver core financial management capabilities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing and reporting, and order to cash workflows aligned to dealer product enrollment processes. Configuration emphasized transaction automation, a consolidated chart of accounts, and standardized financial record structures to support corporate accounting and marketing expense tracking.
The implementation integrated Oracle NetSuite ERP with Salesforce CRM instances for customer and revenue data synchronization, with Drupal and .Net platforms powering the dealer facing digital marketing portal and corporate intranet, and with custom SQL Server database applications used for ancillary financial and operational data. Integration work focused on customer master synchronization, invoicing handoffs from dealer enrollment workflows, and reporting feeds for Marketing and Communications teams.
Operational coverage included Finance, Marketing and Communications departments and extended to dealer facing processes via the Ford Direct.com Drupal platform. Autoline Drive DMS was configured to support standard Dealership Management capabilities, including inventory management, sales workflow, finance and insurance support, service scheduling and parts management, and accounting interfaces. Configuration work emphasized role-based access, business rule configuration for sales and service processes, and data normalization consistent with single-site dealer operations.
Vendor governance and program management were core to the rollout, with CDK Global named as the vendor and FordDirect responsibilities including vendor management, contract creation and negotiation, product development, program planning, and internal and external training and marketing. The implementation team operated a formal program structure to coordinate product roadmaps and training curricula tied to the CDK Tier 3 website program at FordDirect.
