Formsteel implemented Epicor Prophet 21 in 2019 to onboard the company into the group ERP footprint and standardize commercial data. Epicor Prophet 21 served as the Distribution ERP foundation for initial master data and transactional workflows while the project addressed immediate accounting and inventory control needs.
The implementation included configuration of standard ERP data such as products, customers, and vendors, plus customization to meet accountant requirements and report formats. Responsibilities covered user setup and training, ERP process training and technical assistance, transaction audit assistance and correction, development and maintenance of dashboards, portals, and reports, and ongoing ERP automation requirements and enhancements as they arose.
Operational coverage emphasized financial accounting and inventory valuation, with a specific engagement to audit and calculate stock take value to facilitate sale finalisation. The work involved close liaison with company accountants and staff across the business to discover and map business processes, and to adapt Epicor Prophet 21 reporting and data structures to Formsteel operational needs.
Concurrently in 2019 the business evaluated manufacturing-focused systems and the internal Implementation Champion led selection of Global Shop Solutions, a program that moved into implementation in October 2019 and went live in April 2020. Post go live responsibilities for Epicor Prophet 21 centered on report maintenance, transaction auditing, user support, and incremental automation requests to sustain Distribution ERP operations.
