In 2016, GEL implemented TeamSystem Enterprise as its core ERP Financial solution to consolidate functional coverage across the organization. The implementation targeted the complexity of a manufacturing and distribution business that designs and manufactures water treatment equipment and serves more than 2,000 retailers across Italy and abroad.
GEL deployed all the modules offered by TeamSystem to achieve broad process coverage, with explicit configuration of warehouse management capabilities and production execution interfaces. TeamSystem Enterprise was configured to support merchandise management workflows, printing of shipping documentation, order tracking, and real-time access to inventory and transactional data.
The program included integration with TeamSystem's WMS and a connected MES integration, which together linked shop floor execution and warehouse operations into the ERP Financial layer. Operational coverage focused on logistics, warehouse operations, production planning and costing, and order-to-ship processing across GEL's manufacturing and distribution functions. Future rollouts were planned to integrate CRM functionality and extend digital archiving across the company.
Governance centered on process standardization and operational instrumentation, enabling quantification of processing times and visibility into actual production costs via the MES linkage. Reported outcomes from the deployment included simplification and acceleration of merchandise management and improved real-time tracking from shipping document generation to order status, and GEL later assumed an ambassador role with TeamSystem as the collaboration continued.
