Infor Legacy Infor SunSystems ERP Financial ERP n/a 2015 2015
In 2015 General Council of the Bar of England and Wales implemented Infor SunSystems Version 6.02.01 as the finance platform, establishing Infor SunSystems as the organisation's ERP Financial application for the Finance Department. The implementation was framed within a finance centric deployment that targeted core accounting and treasury workflows at the organisation. The deployment concentrated on finance modules typical of the ERP Financial category, including general ledger configuration, accounts payable processing, cash management and structured daily bank reconciliation capabilities. The project was coordinated alongside a purchase order automation program, the introduction of Proactis, which was delivered to the wider business and went live on 01/11/16, enabling a separation of purchase order processing from finance invoice activities. Operational coverage for the Infor SunSystems rollout included treasury duties across five bank accounts, daily bank reconciliations, and daily reporting of cash received to the business. The finance configuration supported management of payments outside of the Purchase Ledger and active monitoring of cash flow to ensure coverage for payroll and other large payments, with reconciliations performed for barrister payments received through Worldpay and Sage Pay as part of regular finance processes. Governance and rollout oversight was delivered through project management for both the SunSystems introduction and the Proactis purchase order implementation, establishing accountable ownership for treasury, payments and reconciliation workflows within the Finance Department. Documentation and day to day operational control centred on daily reconciliation and reporting rhythms to sustain the ERP Financial operating model.

Sinch Legacy Pathwire MailJet Transactional Email PaaS n/a 2019 2019
In 2019, the General Council of the Bar of England and Wales deployed Pathwire MailJet to manage website-driven notifications and member communications, adopting the application as its Transactional Email platform. The deployment concentrated on operationalizing event-triggered sends from the public site and member portal to support confirmations, account alerts, and administrative notifications. The Pathwire MailJet implementation included standard Transactional Email capabilities such as SMTP relay and API-based sending, centralized template management with personalization tokens, transactional workflow orchestration, bounce and suppression handling, and deliverability monitoring. Configuration work focused on template versioning and message payload design to ensure consistent rendering across common email clients. Integration points were implemented between the website event flows, sign up and contact forms, and the member access area, with triggers for password resets, registration confirmations, and service notifications. Operational ownership was centered on the website and member communications, with administration and runtime support handled by internal IT and communications functions within the United Kingdom. Governance established template approval and change control processes, separation of transactional sending from any marketing activity, and suppression list policies to manage bounces and unsubscribes. Monitoring and alerting for delivery anomalies were put in place to support ongoing operational maintenance and compliance with messaging policies.
