| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP Financial Management | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Genworth Financial implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial platform for Genworth Mortgage Insurance. The implementation supported the company’s U.S. Mortgage Insurance controllership and aligned with the insurance business functions responsible for accounting, reporting, and reconciliations across the United States, Canada, and Australia.
The deployment emphasized Oracle E-Business Suite General Ledger as the operational core, configured to handle Automated Data Interface uploads, Mass Allocations, Consolidations, and Oracle reporting using Financial Statement Generator and Discoverer. The configuration also maintained an account mapping system from administrative source systems to the general ledger and administered the account reconciliation system to surface and troubleshoot interface reconciliation issues.
Integrations explicitly included Workiva Wdesk for maintaining and rollforward of financial statements and schedules, and close-related interfaces to the account reconciliation platform, supporting monthly Oracle financial close activities. Daily functional support responsibilities included executing ADI uploads, running mass allocations and consolidations, developing FSG and Discoverer reports, identifying cross-validation rules to ensure data integrity, and delivering end user training.
Governance and process stewardship were formalized through liaison activity between Finance and IT to gather and document requirements, creation and maintenance of process documentation such as standard operating procedures, design documents, and migration forms, and support for internal and external audit inquiries. The implementation placed emphasis on ongoing functional ownership, controllership collaboration with Technical Accounting Group, Tax, and Investments, and maintaining up-to-date process controls and training materials for Oracle E-Business Suite.

| Workday | Legacy | Workday HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, Genworth Financial implemented Workday HCM. The Workday HCM Core HR deployment centered on enterprise human resources processes and served as the primary HR application for Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Self-Service, and Manager Self-Service.
Implementation leadership managed a team of Workday analysts and led the full systems development life cycle for Workday HCM modules, including requirements gathering, configuration design, testing, training, and deployment. Functional capabilities configured included Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Self-Service, Manager Self-Service, Compensation, Recruiting support, Learning and Development coordination, and Core HCM record management.
Operational scope included supporting annual HR processes and ongoing systems enhancements across self service, compensation, talent and performance cycles. The team provided recommendations and executed enhancement efforts to align system behavior with HR annual calendars and process requirements.
Genworth coordinated parallel learning technology workstreams and served as project lead for the SABA learning and development implementation, maintaining program-level oversight of learning integration efforts. Responsibilities also included security administration for both Oracle and Workday environments and participation in vendor evaluations and selection activities for outsourced and ERP solutions, informing governance and change control.
Governance duties emphasized SDLC ownership for Workday HCM modules, design authority for configuration changes, testing governance, training rollout coordination, and deployment governance. Prior program experience noted by the organization included management of an Oracle R12.1.2 upgrade and a redesign of Performance Management that earned the Chairman’s Compass Award in 2011.

| Broadcom | Legacy | AppWorx Workload Automation | Business Process Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018 Genworth Financial deployed AppWorx Workload Automation under a Business Process Management initiative as part of the RTS Project SMART & SFDC in Richmond, VA, with an engagement window from August 2018 to August 2019. The implementation targeted Enterprise Data Warehouse applications and data integration workflows across Genworth’s business segments, providing 24x5 application monitoring support and 16x5 enhancement support for EDW processes.
AppWorx Workload Automation was configured to provide centralized job scheduling and orchestration for ETL pipelines, coordinating Informatica PowerCenter workflows, GP Loader processes and GreenPlum database loads. Functional responsibilities included end to end processing of JSON responses from Salesforce into Oracle tables, Oracle PL/SQL development, Informatica development including IICS tasks, and Unix job scripts to support automated batch windows and recurring job chains.
Integrations were explicitly implemented with Salesforce, Master Data Management sources, Informatica PowerCenter, Oracle and GreenPlum databases, and Big Data Hadoop processing layers to consolidate heterogeneous source data into a single EDW. Operational tooling for monitoring and troubleshooting included GP Loader log monitoring, Informatica run logs and AppWorx job status, while incidents and service requests were managed through ServiceNow and the Genworth Helpdesk portal.
Governance and operational change included strict incident acceptance and service request workflows, adherence to production ticketing procedures, and performance tuning at source and target databases through index maintenance, hints, partitioning and statistics collection. Daily, weekly and monthly job processing was monitored and debugged to maintain production stability, with responsibilities encompassing debugging, error resolution, index rebuilds and user management.
The project narrative documents that AppWorx Workload Automation supported maintaining 100% SLA adherence in the Genworth production environment and delivered a consolidated EDW view to enable informed decision making from Salesforce, MDM and other sources.
