In 2023 Gide Loyrette Nouel implemented ServiceNow Asset Management as part of a broader modernization of internal tools to give users autonomy in declaring and monitoring their needs. The deployment of ServiceNow Asset Management was positioned to centralize asset lifecycle and request workflows across the firm while aligning with existing ServiceNow-based ITSM processes. The implementation of ServiceNow Asset Management, within the Enterprise Asset Management category, included configuration of asset lifecycle management, inventory and tracking workflows, and reporting capabilities consistent with enterprise asset management practices. Functional coverage was extended through the ServiceNow platform to support ITSM, Change, CMDB, Asset and Finance modules, enabling cross-module data flows and unified record models for asset and configuration items. Technically the program was delivered on the ServiceNow platform using ServiceNow as the primary ticketing tool and Office for program documentation. Methodologies used included Agile Scrum and V-cycle, with modeling artifacts created using UML, MCD, flowcharts and sequence diagrams to specify integrations and process automation. Development monitoring and defect handling were managed directly in ServiceNow, preserving end-to-end traceability between incidents, changes and asset records. Governance and rollout were structured around CoProj and CoPil forums for stakeholder alignment, ongoing monitoring of developments, and a communication plan to support adoption. The project team produced requirements specifications, test notebooks and executed test plans, they opened and tracked bugs with the publisher, and documented application processes to support operational handover and training of technical teams. Outcomes reported by the engagement included satisfaction from business and product teams, training and support of technical teams, improved autonomy and satisfaction for end users, production of measures of entry point security improvements, and the implementation of KPI dashboards and reports to monitor asset and service performance.
