Squirrel Systems Legacy Squirrel POS Point Of Sale ERP Services and Operations n/a 2015 2015
In 2015, Giordanos Enterprises implemented Squirrel POS in a Point Of Sale deployment that covered 13 corporate restaurants, an internal commissary, and Wrigley Field concessions. The deployment used Squirrel Systems Squirrel POS as the core transactional platform for front of house and concession operations. The implementation instrumented standard Point Of Sale capabilities including order entry and menu management, payment processing, kitchen routing and ticketing, basic inventory tracking and consolidated sales reporting. Configuration work focused on store-level POS terminal setups and centralized reporting feeds to provide consistent menu and pricing configuration across sites, while aligning cash reconciliation and end of day processing with corporate operations. Rollout and governance were led through a restaurant software conversion task force that included the Regional Director of Operations who acted as liaison to the technology organization. The program included formal training programs for managers and staff, staged restaurant onboarding, and operational playbooks to standardize workflows across restaurants, the commissary, and concessions. The implementation explicitly integrated all corporate restaurants to Squirrel Systems for POS and centralized operational ownership under the corporate operations function. Operational outcomes recorded during the period include corporate restaurants exceeding budgeted sales by 9.1% year to date, while labor and cost of goods sold were 2.1% under budget. The deployment is described as part of broader operational improvements driven by the operations leadership team and structured training and governance established during the Squirrel POS rollout.
