| Laserfiche | Legacy | Laserfiche Invoice | AP Automation | ERP | n/a | 2015 | 2015 |
In 2015, G&J Pepsi-Cola implemented Laserfiche Invoice to centralize accounts payable and introduce an AP Automation capability across its Cincinnati headquarters and 13 locations in Ohio and Kentucky. The deployment focused on digitizing invoice intake, removing paper routing, and automating metadata capture so managers could redirect time from manual approvals to oversight and customer service.
Laserfiche Invoice was configured with workflow automation that adds metadata automatically, routes invoices to the appropriate managers for review and approval, and performs automated reasonableness checks on invoice dates and distribution totals. The solution also automates the creation of invoice vouchers and retains the invoice image together with transactional attributes, enabling a single source of truth for each payable.
The implementation integrated Laserfiche with Microsoft Dynamics GP so invoice vouchers are generated automatically and, after payment, check numbers, dates and payment details are pushed back to the Laserfiche document record. Operational scope covered the central AP department and manager approvers across the enterprise, supporting accounting, disbursements and finance functions while consolidating invoice handling previously performed in multiple facilities.
Governance and process controls were restructured to enforce separation of duties, ensuring employees who post AP vouchers cannot process disbursements, and to provide standardized approval trails for audits and compliance. Reported outcomes include tighter control over disbursements, consolidated vendor payments, reduced cost per invoice processed, elimination of lost or duplicate payments, easier annual audits, and the ability to process more than 1,000 invoices weekly with a small AP staff, positioning G&J Pepsi-Cola to expand Laserfiche automation into contract management.

In 2020, G&J Pepsi-Cola implemented the ClickLearn Platform to support end user enablement and onboarding, aligning the deployment with the Digital Adoption category. The ClickLearn Platform was positioned to provide contextual, task-based training and on-demand guidance for operational users managed by the companys Training and Development function.
The implementation emphasized ClickLearn Platform authoring and guided walkthrough capabilities, used alongside existing course development practices such as Captivate and Microsoft Stream video channels. Content publishing workflows were established to produce step‑by‑step documentation and in-application help that complemented instructor-led and LMS-driven learning assets.
Operational usage ran through the Training and Development team, which administered LMS365 for course setup, annual compliance training plans, learner record auditing, and email notifications. The project included digitizing paper PIT evaluations into Microsoft Forms, saving PDFs into SharePoint, and importing those PIT evaluation records into LMS365, with reporting workstreams supported by Power BI and automation tasks supported by Power Automate.
Governance and rollout activities were managed by the Training and Development Specialist role, which handled LMS365 administration, SME coordination, project management of multiple assignments, and technical support for end users. The ClickLearn Platform implementation was integrated into those governance routines to extend digital adoption tooling across the teams responsible for compliance training and learner lifecycle management.

In 2016 G&J Pepsi-Cola implemented Microsoft Power BI as an Analytics and BI solution to surface field and inventory intelligence across store merchandisers and headquarters teams. The project combined Microsoft Power BI with Office 365 capabilities to create a mobile accessible analytics application targeted at merchandising and retail execution workflows.
The Microsoft Power BI application pulls transactional inputs from the company stock management application and presents real time stock level dashboards alongside historical sales statistics rendered as easy to read charts. The implementation embeds a Yammer social networking element so merchandisers can view analytics and simultaneously participate in product sales conversations, combining visualization, reporting, and social collaboration within the Analytics and BI context.
Integrations include the stock management application for source data, Yammer for threaded social interactions, Office 365 for identity and collaboration, and Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security for secure managed mobile devices used by store teams. Operational coverage spans store field staff capturing data and corporate analytics teams at headquarters transforming that data into actionable intelligence, with primary business functions impacted including merchandising, field operations, and corporate analytics.
Governance and rollout centered on secure mobile management and Office 365 identity controls to enable store device use and controlled sharing of Power BI content. The app has been described as successful and G&J Pepsi-Cola is evaluating packaging the capability as an IT as a service offering to sell to customers, with Microsoft Enterprise Mobility + Security and Office 365 cited as opening new business opportunities.
