In 2019, GKN Aerospace implemented SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central as its Core HR platform. Adoption methods combined traditional user acceptance training and process guides with intensive on-site workshops, iteration workshops and HR roadshows, and employees were enabled to engage with the new system often using their own devices.
The SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central instance sits on a new platform named Wilbur and is described as central to GKN Aerospace’s connected IT systems, uniting people and processes. Governance activities included business-driven change impact assessments, process mapping and targeted user training to restructure workflows and accelerate global rollout.
