Microsoft Sage 50 Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP Financial ERP n/a 2018 2019
In 2018, Global Strategy Group implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central as its core ERP Financial platform. The deployment was part of a multi year program to replace Sage 50 and to move the firm from an on premise client server model to a cloud based Microsoft ecosystem supporting Finance, Marketing, Sales, Project Management, and Human Resources. Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central was configured to provide core financial management and controls, strengthened user security, and streamlined invoicing workflows. Implementation work focused on accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, tighter financial control points, and integration touchpoints that support more accurate revenue forecasting and more efficient invoicing as described by the firm. The Business Central deployment was integrated into an existing Microsoft centric stack, including Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE for CRM and Professional Services Automation, and was connected to Power BI for reporting and analytics. Additional integrations and adjacent systems included Box for document management, Okta for identity management, Slack and Zoom for collaboration and communications, and best of breed point solutions such as Concord for contract management, Lever for applicant tracking, Lattice for performance management, and Pledgeling for social impact engagement, creating an end to end operational footprint across six locations. Governance and rollout were executed by a centralized Technology and Office Services team that realigned support workflows toward a customer service model, empowered Office Services to provide Tier 1 tech support, and phased system replacements across departments. Outcomes explicitly reported include better financial controls and user security from Business Central, improved reporting through Power BI, more accurate revenue forecasting, and more efficient invoicing as part of the integrated ecosystem.

Microsoft Legacy Microsoft Power BI Analytics and BI Analytics and BI n/a 2015 2018
In 2015, Global Strategy Group deployed Microsoft Power BI to consolidate reporting and analytics across the firm. Global Strategy Group implemented Microsoft Power BI in the Analytics and BI category as part of a broader Microsoft stack initiative, after switching from Salesforce to Dynamics 365 which produced a 34 percent reduction in licensing costs and freed budget for new technology projects. The Microsoft Power BI implementation focused on centralized dashboards, self service reporting, data modeling and scheduled data refresh to deliver consistent client and operational metrics. Microsoft Power BI was configured to surface KPIs alongside additional Dynamics 365 applications, with data modeling and role based access controls used to align reports to business roles and streamline distribution to project and account teams. Deployment and operational coverage targeted firmwide business functions, including client services, finance and operations, as the company reoriented IT from a back office support function to a strategic capability. Governance shifted to prioritize iterative analytics delivery, with reinvestment in further Dynamics 365 customizations and additional Microsoft Power BI rollouts to extend reporting coverage and integrate analytic workflows into day to day processes. The cited outcome from this program was a reallocation of savings into new technology workstreams, specifically further deploying Microsoft Power BI and expanding Dynamics 365 functionality, while elevating analytics governance and program prioritization across the organization.
