| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle E-Business Suite | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2011 | 2011 |
In 2011, GlobalFoundries implemented Oracle E-Business Suite as its ERP Financial application. The program operated alongside existing payroll and HCM tooling, with a US payroll team of six and a global payroll team of ten managing US payroll operations across 43 states using ADP PayExpert and PeopleSoft 9.1 HCM.
The Oracle E-Business Suite deployment included the Oracle R12 EBS Financial Accounting System, and project teams configured and tested payroll journal entry files for Oracle R12 reporting. The broader HR and payroll footprint supported HCM, Benefits, Absence Management and Enterprise eTime for approximately 9,000 US employees, handling LTIP, STIP, RSUs, commissions and annual performance bonus processing.
Integrations were implemented with ADP Workforce Now, ADP PayExpert and ADP Streamline to route payroll and benefits data into financial ledgers. The implementation supported a complex acquisition integration that added 5,500 new hires and required coordination with a separate Core HR implementation in SAP ERP for EMEA operations.
Governance and compliance activities included collaboration with KPMG for quarterly and annual audits and with PwC to institute hypo tax deductions for more than 450 expatriates while managing global payroll across EMEA, India, Singapore and China. Cross functional teams worked to institute HRB and OBA Benefits systems on the ADP platform, configure payment policies and processes in the T&L system, and validate payroll journal load and reconciliation workflows.
Testing and validation cycles emphasized payroll to ledger reconciliation and payroll journal load testing into Oracle E-Business Suite, positioning Oracle E-Business Suite as the ERP Financial backbone for reporting and ledger integration. The implementation narrative links payroll operations, benefits administration and financial accounting through Oracle E-Business Suite, with ADP services integrated for global payroll execution.

| IBM | Legacy | IBM SiView | Manufacturing Execution System | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2012 | 2012 |
In 2012, GlobalFoundries implemented IBM SiView as a Manufacturing Execution System to instrument process flows, route build execution, and factory systems setup across its semiconductor fabs. The deployment targeted continuous 24x7 fab operations and spanned multiple technology nodes and product lines, supported by coordinated onsite and offshore engineering and technician teams that maintained operational continuity.
The IBM SiView implementation emphasized detailed MES process flow modeling and route build configuration, with explicit business rule administration and UAT governance for releases. Functional capabilities implemented included process flow modeling, route build execution, factory system configuration governance, and nomenclature and documentation standardization to ensure consistent configuration across sites.
Integrations included explicit coupling with global Engineering Change Management ECM releases to control business rule and configuration updates, and operational alignment with yield engineering workflows and route build data verification tools. Adoption activities included instructor led and web based training, plus tools for process flow data verification to accelerate user proficiency and reduce execution errors within the Manufacturing Execution System.
Governance centered on formalized change management, documentation standards, and incident management workflows from initial troubleshooting through containment and corrective and preventive actions. Operational practices embedded Lean principles into daily MES usage and route build processes, improving system readiness and time to production while sustaining audit readiness and global configuration consistency.
