In 2014 GMM Pfaudler implemented Infor M3 10.4 as its Manufacturing ERP. The deployment combined Infor M3 application services with an M3 transactional database on DB2 and a SQL Server 2014 environment used for ancillary reporting and in-house applications, managed from the company IT organization in Anand, Gujarat.
Configuration focused on core application automation and user-facing mashups, including Infor Process Automation and Mash-up capabilities, with formalized validation through scripting. The implementation included report development directly against the M3 DB2 database, in-house application work in Visual Studio 2012 such as a canteen console application and an intranet web portal, and ongoing optimization of DB2 and SQL Server queries and procedures.
Operational scope covered functional and technical support for end users, database support for third party applications, and routine ERP audits. Governance was reinforced by application and data audits, general IT audit activity, and scripted validation processes to maintain data integrity and application controls within the Infor M3 Manufacturing ERP environment.

In 2024, GMM Pfaudler deployed Infor GenAI via Infor Value+ add-ons embedded in its CloudSuite ERP to accelerate an 800,000 item master data quality project. The deployment targeted standardization of item descriptions across manufacturing and supply chain processes for India and global operations.
The implementation leveraged clustering algorithms and multilingual text authoring capabilities of Infor GenAI, operating within the Generative AI Platforms category, to group similar SKUs and generate standardized nomenclature. Configurations focused on automating description normalization and deduplication workflows within master data management. The initiative processed the full 800,000 item set to create consolidated description templates and mapping rules for downstream use.
Infor GenAI was embedded through Infor Value+ add-ons inside CloudSuite ERP, preserving ERP master data taxonomy and enabling operational handoff to procurement, inventory planning and manufacturing execution teams. Data flows were routed from ERP master tables into the GenAI processing layer and written back into item master repositories to drive standardized descriptions. The deployment scope explicitly covered manufacturing and supply chain domains across India and global operations.
Governance was adjusted to a centralized master data orchestration model with accelerated rollout milestones to enable rapid remediation and operational adoption. The program shortened a projected seven year remediation horizon to six months and achieved approximately 95 percent faster remediation. It is expected to cut inventory costs by about 5 percent, estimated at one to two million euros.
