In 2017, Gousto implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations as a new enterprise platform to support core financial and operational processes. The implementation was scoped to integrate Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations with Gousto's ecommerce platform and warehouse management systems, establishing the foundation for an ERP Financial solution supporting finance, procurement, inventory and order management business functions.
Implementation focused on configuration of financial modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, procurement, inventory valuation and order-to-cash workflows. The programme included a formal data migration strategy to move transactional and master data into Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, and configuration work to align system automation with Gousto business processes.
Integration architecture was designed and delivered across cloud services, using Azure and AWS as part of a hybrid cloud integration approach, and included integration with JDA for warehouse management and with Gousto's ecommerce stack. The architecture emphasized service level integration points between Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations and external operational systems, enabling synchronized inventory, order and financial data flows.
Governance and programme management included an internal technical solutions architect reporting to the programme steering committee, designing the internal integration strategy and aligning business processes with technical constraints.
