In 2018 Grab Malaysia migrated from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Oracle Cloud ERP to centralize core finance processing within an ERP Financial scope. The implementation concentrated on procure to pay and core ledger processes spanning the Finance Operations Support & Services organization, with an explicit focus on regional payables execution.
Configuration work centered on Accounts Payable, vendor master management, and General Ledger inputs. Project teams scoped As-Is and To-Be Payables processes by creating mapping flows and documentation using BlueWork Live, prepared Payables configuration templates for load into Oracle Cloud ERP, and developed vendor master templates for bulk upload.
Data and migration tasks included preparing open item extractions for Payables migration, reviewing Open PO migration artifacts, and providing process input for General Ledger migration related to Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Accounts. The implementation also built an AP Payment bulk upload mechanism to support all SEA countries, integrating regional payment execution into Oracle Cloud ERP.
Governance and rollout were driven by mapping documentation, templated configuration uploads, and structured knowledge transfer, with updated training materials and a main Payables train the trainer program delivered to end users. The Assistant Manager Finance Operations Support & Services served as one of the P2P leads, overseeing vendor master migration, template preparation, and readiness activities for cutover.
Oracle Cloud ERP went live in July 2018, after which selected agents were designated as Payables subject matter experts to handle ticketing and user queries. The deployment emphasized template driven configuration, disciplined data migration, and localized AP payment automation to support regional finance operations.
