In 2016 GreyOrange implemented SAP S/4 HANA on premise 1511 as an ERP Financial deployment to consolidate enterprise financials with manufacturing and fulfillment operations. GreyOrange designs, manufactures and deploys advanced robotics systems for picking and sorting automation at distribution and fulfilment centres, and the SAP S/4 HANA implementation was scoped to align core financial controls with production and quality processes. SAP declared this project as one of the top 3 SAP go live events globally, marking the cutover as a notable industry implementation.
The project included core financial management capabilities consistent with the ERP Financial category, configured alongside Production Planning PP and Quality Management QM modules where the PP/QM team was led internally. Configuration work addressed general ledger structure, accounts payable and receivable workflows, costing and inventory valuation, and production order lifecycle settings. Functional streams emphasized production order control and quality inspection lot handling integrated into financial and inventory flows.
The architecture was an on premise SAP S/4 HANA 1511 landscape that united transactional financial ledgers with manufacturing execution and quality data streams. Operational coverage included manufacturing, production planning, quality assurance, and supply chain processes supporting distribution and fulfilment centre operations. Integrations focused on aligning shop floor production planning and quality checkpoints with financial posting and inventory valuation processes.
Program governance was centered on a PP/QM led team responsible for configuration, validation testing and cutover orchestration, with formalized change control for master data, production planning rules and quality workflows. The program achieved a globally recognized go live status by SAP, and governance emphasized coordinated testing and process signoff across finance, manufacturing and quality functions. The narrative reflects a combined ERP Financial and manufacturing systems implementation executed on premise using SAP S/4 HANA.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP Concur Travel | Travel Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2017 | 2017 |
In 2017 GreyOrange implemented SAP Concur Travel to centralize Travel Management for its US travel desk and to standardize corporate travel operations across regions where the company operates. The deployment targeted the Concur travel and expense tool as the primary self booking travel solution, with a Travel Manager based in Atlanta operating as the day to day administrator for bookings and policy enforcement.
Configuration work focused on the travel booking workflow and the Concur travel and expense tool, including establishment of corporate travel policy rules, self booking controls, T&E report processing, and reimbursement workflows. Functional capabilities implemented included itinerary and visa documentation management, corporate credit card program handling, vendor rate management, and travel budget reporting and MIS.
Integrations and operational coverage emphasized connections to direct travel vendors and distribution channels explicitly referenced by the travel team, including global distribution systems and various low cost carriers, plus negotiated relationships with hotels, car rental providers, and airlines. Operational handoffs were designed between the travel desk, finance for T&E reconciliation and MIS, and procurement for supplier negotiations, supporting travel operations across US, Canada, LATAM, and EMEA while GreyOrange maintained global operations in EMEA and APAC.
Governance and process changes centered on creating and optimizing corporate travel policies, enforcing compliance in travel procedures, and instituting approval and exception workflows within SAP Concur Travel. The Travel Manager role combined operational administration, vendor negotiation for preferred rates, and continual program optimization, with documented responsibilities for policy creation, compliance assurance, and ongoing improvement of travel programs.
