In 2013, GROHE AG deployed Serrala FinanceSuite as its AP Automation solution, targeting the accounts payable lifecycle within the corporate finance organization. The initiative established Serrala FinanceSuite as the centralized platform for invoice intake and payment orchestration across GROHE AG finance operations.
Serrala FinanceSuite was configured to support automated invoice capture and validation, electronic invoice processing, workflow approvals, three way PO matching, exception routing, and payment scheduling. The implementation included vendor master synchronization and AP posting controls to ensure consistent ledger handoffs and auditability.
The deployment integrated Serrala FinanceSuite with Hanse Orga Autobank for payment execution and bank file exchange, and implemented interfaces to the corporate ERP for automated posting of AP ledger entries. Bank connectivity and secure file transfer mechanisms were part of the integration scope to support end to end invoice to payment flows.
Governance changes emphasized centralized AP processing, formal approval matrices, segregation of duties controls, and electronic audit trails driven by the application workflow. Rollout was organized as a phased finance adoption with configuration governance and operational handover to accounts payable teams.
