In 2015, Groupe daucy implemented SAP Business Planning and Consolidation as its core EPM application across the group. The deployment targeted group level financial planning and consolidation to support Comptabilité, Financement, Fiscalité, Gestion, Reporting, Consolidation, M&A, and Juridique functions across its industrial and export footprint, including 20 industrial sites with operations in Hungary and Spain and multiple export subsidiaries.
SAP Business Planning and Consolidation was configured to provide statutory and management consolidation, group reporting, multi year budgeting and the three year budget cycle used by the finance organization. The application underpinned monthly closings, gap analysis and preparation of Codir presentation packs, and it was used by management control teams to produce consolidated group reporting and variance analysis.
The implementation was integrated with the group treasury system Diapason for cash and short term forecasting workflows and with the consolidated reporting chain supporting a holding level tax and fiscal integration architecture. Operational coverage included the head office Direction Financière and business unit finance teams, with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation feeding consolidated packs for DAFs of branches and the group steering committee.
Governance changes accompanied the technical rollout, including the creation of a central Direction Financière, DAF roles for branches, a holding structure with tax integration and a transfer pricing manual to standardize consolidation rules and intercompany eliminations. Concurrently the group reported shorter close cycles, a one third reduction in closing times, secured market and rate exposures with MATIF and currency hedges, and broader restructuring and refinancing activity during the period.
