In 2015, Gujarat Gas implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its core ERP Financial platform. The deployment established SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the primary system for corporate finance and transactional accounting across the company, managed through the IT & ERP function based in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The implementation configured standard ERP Financial modules including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting and financial reporting, with configuration aligned to utilities industry financial workflows. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was extended through configuration and custom reporting to meet the specific accounting and billing cadence of a regulated gas utility.
Integrations explicitly included the customer relationship management system and IS-Utilities interfaces, with reports development and analytics delivered through SAP BI. These integrations were implemented to support end to end data exchange for customer accounts and billing related transactions, and to feed financial reporting and reconciliation processes in SAP BI.
Operational governance centered on in-house IT & ERP ownership, with a Dy. Manager IT & ERP identified as a persistent support lead responsible for SAP ECC 6.0 support and new requirements. User adoption initiatives and structured reports development in SAP BI were part of rollout and ongoing governance to align finance, billing and customer service workflows with the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial environment.

In 2020, Gujarat Gas implemented Cisco Webex Meetings for Audio Video and Web Conferencing on their website. The deployment emphasized cloud-hosted conferencing to support both external customer engagement and internal collaboration across its India operations.
Cisco Webex Meetings was configured to provide core meeting capabilities including scheduled video meetings, ad hoc audio and video conferencing, screen sharing, and meeting recording. Administrative controls and user provisioning were enabled through the Webex administration console to manage meeting policies and participant access. The implementation leveraged standard Cisco Webex Meetings functionality such as meeting scheduling, virtual meeting rooms, and attendee management to align with enterprise collaboration workflows.
The Webex presence on the Gujarat Gas website exposes external-facing meeting links and registration flows for customer and partner sessions, while internal use extends to corporate communications, project teams, and field coordination across business functions. The architecture relies on Cisco Webex Meetings cloud services embedded into web pages to deliver browser-based joins and media streaming without on-premise conferencing infrastructure. The implementation used Webex client endpoints for distributed user devices to maintain consistent meeting experiences.
Rollout was governed through centralized administration with policy-driven meeting controls and role-based access configuration to standardize usage across employee groups. Governance and process adjustments focused on embedding Cisco Webex Meetings into routine collaboration workflows and consolidating meeting policy administration across the organization.
