In 2017 Haitong International implemented Oracle Cloud ERP as its core finance system, deploying a platform aligned to the ERP Financial category to centralize financial controls and reporting. The Oracle Cloud ERP deployment was positioned to support the finance function of Haitong International Securities Group Limited, reflecting the organization s need for consolidated accounting, regulatory reporting and consistent chart of accounts management across Hong Kong and overseas offices.
The Oracle Cloud ERP implementation covered core ERP Financial modules including General Ledger, financial reporting and consolidation, cash management and bank account management, accounts payable and accounts receivable, tax provisioning and transfer pricing support, and internal control tooling. Configuration emphasis included chart of accounts design and group level consolidation rules, as well as standardized month end reporting packages used by senior management and the parent company.
Operational integrations focused on embedding the new Oracle Cloud ERP workflows into existing finance processes, coordinating with the tax team for transfer pricing maintenance, liaising with internal and external auditors for audit readiness, and working with front line business units to provide accounting guidance on project structuring. The implementation supported finance teams responsible for Financial Reporting, Bank Account Management and Finance Internal Control, and required engagement with the IT Department for project delivery and systems orchestration.

FIS Global One was configured to provide front office trade input and management for Haitong’s principal lending business, and to automate dividend and corporate action processing, settlement procedures, marks, full exposure and collateral management. The implementation emphasized operational automation, exposure monitoring and collateral lifecycle tasks that are core to Loan Management functional workflows.
The system is supplied by Sungard now part of FIS, identified in project documentation as the vendor for Global One at Haitong. Operational coverage centers on Hong Kong securities lending operations and associated middle office and operations functions, with an explicit objective to handle increased trade flow resulting from cross border equity trading via Shanghai Hong Kong Stock Connect.
Haitong executed the work as part of a staged middle office revamp, with a parallel Syn capital markets platform go live for low latency matching and confirmations. Company leadership reported that the Global One go live is already delivering business value, measurable productivity gains and improved client satisfaction.
