In 2010, Haufe implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial system to centralize finance and controlling across the Haufe Group in Germany. The deployment established SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as the core ERP Financial application supporting corporate accounting and controlling for an organization of roughly 2650 employees.
The implementation focused on SAP FI and CO functional modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and cost center and profit center controlling. SAP ERP ECC 6.0 was configured as an on premises core financial stack, with module-level configuration aligned to statutory accounting, consolidation-ready master data, and month-end close workflows typical of ERP Financial deployments.
Operational ownership and ongoing configuration were retained inhouse with a dedicated SAP FI/CO consultant driving chart of accounts rationalization, master data governance, and configuration changes. Rollout and governance centered on finance and accounting teams, with process control and change management applied to financial master data, posting rules, and close procedures to institutionalize the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial footprint within Haufe.

| Abacus Research | Legacy | Abacus Umantis Applicant Management | Applicant Tracking System | HCM | n/a | 2000 | 2000 |
In 2000, Haufe deployed Abacus Umantis Applicant Management from Abacus Research as its Applicant Tracking System. The implementation places Umantis Talent Management Software as the primary ATS on Haufe’s public careers site at https://careers.haufegroup.com, capturing candidate applications and routing them into the vendor platform.
The deployment centers on core applicant lifecycle functionality provided by Abacus Umantis Applicant Management, including job posting and requisition publication from centralized templates, online application capture on the careers site, candidate profile and resume processing, configurable screening stages, interview coordination, and offer management. Configuration work emphasized role based access for hiring managers and HR users, and customization of recruitment workflows to mirror Haufe’s vacancy approval and candidate evaluation steps.
Operational coverage focuses on Talent Acquisition and HR business functions within Haufe’s organization in Germany, with the careers site integration serving as the front end for external applicants and Abacus Umantis Applicant Management acting as the repository for applicant records and workflow state. The implementation uses the Umantis Talent Management Software interface for recruiter and hiring manager interactions, aligning candidate data, status tracking, and communications in a single system of record.
Governance was structured around standardized recruitment stages, configurable approval gates, and administrative controls for data access and requisition management, maintaining compliance and auditability in hiring processes. The narrative centers on system architecture that embeds Abacus Umantis Applicant Management into Haufe’s public talent acquisition channel, linking website application flows into the ATS and operationalizing recruitment workflows for HR and hiring teams.

| SAP | Legacy | SAP BW (Business Warehouse) | Data Warehouse | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2010 | 2010 |
In 2010, Haufe implemented SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as its Data Warehouse. The project was executed within an SAP system landscape hosted on Windows Server with Oracle as the underlying database, supporting ERP, BI, BW and CRM workloads under Solution Manager oversight.
SAP BW (Business Warehouse) and SAP BI HANA installations were central technical deliverables, with configuration focused on data modeling, ETL orchestration and report delivery typical of a Data Warehouse implementation. The work included installation and configuration of SAP NetWeaver Gateway 2 and SAP Gateway OData services to enable service exposure and integration, and the import of OSS notes and add‑ons required for platform stability.
Operational integration emphasized interoperability with on‑premise ERP and CRM components via XI and NetWeaver stacks, including an XI OS migration activity and targeted OSS note management. Solution Manager 7.1 was installed and configured to provide landscape governance, with EarlyWatch Alert and CCMS monitoring configured to surface system health and operational disruptions, and ticket processing workflows for authorization changes and incident handling were formalized.
Governance and release control received explicit attention through conception of release change scenarios and a Solution Manager upgrade path, supported by SAP Basis consulting for ongoing system administration. The implementation combined technical platform setup, monitoring instrumentation and operational ticketing to position SAP BW (Business Warehouse) as a governed Data Warehouse within Haufe’s SAP application landscape.
