In 2018, Herring Bank implemented CSI Meridian.NET as its Core Banking system to support its loan operations and lending teams. The implementation centered on loan processing for commercial, consumer, agricultural and real estate portfolios, reflecting responsibilities described for the Loan Operations Specialist II role and supporting the Amarillo operations and reporting lines to the SVP of Credit Administration.
CSI Meridian.NET was configured to provide core lending functionality including loan origination and loan servicing workflows, payment and disbursement processing, credit tracking, post fund audit support, loan control general ledger balancing, and reporting. The implementation emphasized document handling and automation for pre-closing and post-closing duties, with configured routines for paid off loans, adverse action processing, monthly production and assistant logs, and exception maintenance for titles, recorded documents and UCC filings.
Integrations documented in operational notes were retained in the implementation, including document creation links to Arta Lending, connections to the imaging system for scanned loan files, and interfaces for credit reporting and dispute channels such as E Oscar and Experian updates. Operational transaction support included payment coupon processing, flood determination services, filings with Texas, Colorado and Oklahoma secretaries of state, and vendor interactions with Central Notification System Inc., all orchestrated alongside CSI Meridian.NET processing.
Governance and controls were structured around regulatory and compliance workflows, implementing procedures for Reg Z, Reg X, Reg C, Reg B, flood requirements and bank level controls for Bank Secrecy, Identity Theft, OFAC and Reg P. Operational governance incorporated daily reconciliation of loan control GL balances, scheduled review of daily weekly monthly and annual reports, mandated training and webinar attendance, and standardized post funding audit and reporting responsibilities assigned to loan operations staff.
