| Oracle | Legacy | Oracle PeopleSoft HCM | Core HR | HCM | n/a | 2014 | 2014 |
In 2014, Hill-Rom implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as its Core HR application. During an HR department leadership void the IT leader resumed a broader remit that included Finance and North America Global Supply Chain and led a team of eight business analysts responsible for strategic project delivery across those functions.
The Oracle PeopleSoft HCM deployment encompassed HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and applicant tracking functionality, and included an in-place upgrade to PeopleSoft 9.2 completed with just $25K incremental cost. Configuration work emphasized employee self-service and mobile enablement as part of the PeopleSoft rollout.
Integrations tied Oracle PeopleSoft HCM into the company payroll and ERP ecosystem, with accountability for replacing the twenty year old ADP PCPW application with ADP Payforce, a payroll transition executed without impact to the employee population. The IT lead also managed Applicant Tracking, HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits integration during the Trumpf and Welch Allyn acquisition, designing data exchanges between systems, and coordinated the HR-related transition of acquired Volker and Virtus businesses into the JD Edwards ERP.
Governance and process changes accompanied the implementation, including elimination of segregation of duties violations in JD Edwards ERP, organization of an IT continuous improvement team that reduced change control steps by 15 percent, and coordination of a 2016 departmental budget of $4.5M. Parallel IT initiatives under the same leadership included a four week upgrade of Bottomline Technologies Transform and an upgrade of JD Edwards Tools with mandatory training for thousands of employees, all managed to avoid business disruption and to centralize HR, payroll, and benefits orchestration around Oracle PeopleSoft HCM.

| Salesforce | Legacy | Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) | Field Service Management | ERP Services and Operations | n/a | 2018 | 2018 |
In 2018, Hill-Rom implemented Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) as its Field Service Management application to support mobile on site job management for field technicians. The deployment centered on Field Service Lightning components including the Field Service Lightning managed package and the Field Service Lightning mobile app to instrument dispatch, work orders, and mobile execution workflows.
Salesforce Field Service (ex ClickSoftware) was configured to create service resources and service crews that represent field technicians, with explicit profiling of skills, service territories, and availability to drive scheduling and capacity planning. Existing Visualforce pages were customized and refactored to align with the Salesforce Lightning UI experience, preserving existing UI flows while enabling Lightning component based navigation on mobile devices.
Functional modules implemented included resource and crew management, mobile work order management, scheduling and dispatch workflows, and mobile job status updates for on site technicians. Operational coverage targeted the mobile workforce and field service and dispatch teams, embedding field execution into Salesforce service records and service management processes.
Governance for the rollout emphasized standardized resource data, configuration of service territories and availability profiles, and controlled installation and provisioning of the Field Service Lightning managed package and the Field Service Lightning mobile app. The implementation narrative documents configuration, mobile app provisioning, and administrative controls for ongoing operations of Field Service Management at Hill-Rom.
