The project was delivered by Fujitsu, which acted as both vendor and system integrator for the deployment. The implementation concentrated on manufacturing and inventory management modules, aligning production process workflows and inventory control capabilities to standardize operational procedures. Configuration targeted shop floor transaction capture and inventory reconciliation, with process-driven controls embedded to support ongoing process improvements using Fujitsu PRO-NES. Operational scope was limited to production and inventory processes in Japan, with rollout activities focused on process improvement and standardization within those business functions. HKS used the system to drive process improvements and achieved a 35% reduction in inventory, and in 2007 HKS completed a version upgrade of Fujitsu PRO-NES to strengthen ICT controls and reinforce standardization across the implemented modules.
