| SAP | SAP ERP ECC 6.0 | SAP S/4 HANA | ERP Financial | ERP | n/a | 2021 | 2022 |
In 2021, H&M France implemented SAP S/4 HANA as an ERP Financial platform to consolidate and run core finance and accounting processes. The engagement was executed as a brownfield migration from SAP ERP ECC 6.0 with an explicit mandate to preserve and move as-is processes into the S/4 landscape while redesigning where necessary.
The implementation scope centered on finance modules and configuration, with explicit focus areas on material ledger and asset accounting. SAP S/4 HANA configuration work included adapting ledger handling and fixed asset accounting to the S/4 data model and reassessing master data and posting flows to align with the new architecture.
Operational coverage targeted finance and accounting functions across H&M France operations, aligning transactional finance, material valuation, and asset lifecycle postings to the S/4 structures. The program emphasized maintaining existing end to end process integrity during cutover, while preparing the S/4 environment to support local store and corporate financial posting patterns.
Governance followed the H&M group agile transformation approach referenced in prior communications, using controlled brownfield adoption to secure existing processes and to redesign known impact areas. The project design included process gates for material ledger and asset accounting changes, and formal training and strategy roles to manage knowledge transfer and ensure stable operational handover to SAP S/4 HANA.

In 2015 H&M France implemented CK Connect from CrossKnowledge as a central Learning and Development platform to deliver a company specific certification training program. The deployment focused on a blended learning model developed in collaboration with CrossKnowledge, positioning CK Connect as the delivery and certification engine for multiweek training cycles.
The implementation delivered structured certification cycles that last around 500 hours, with a common core of mandatory skills and additional subjects tailored by job profile. CK Connect was configured to provide mandatory integral content alongside an elective pathway, allowing employees to select further courses from the CrossKnowledge catalog to broaden skills, while H&M France retained the ability to build and add bespoke training modules for teams.
Operationally the program targeted team level learning and role specific competency development across H&M France, with the blended learning approach used to provide flexibility and availability and to reinforce team commitment. Governance centered on mandatory core curricula to ensure baseline competencies, combined with optional catalog learning to support continuous skills acquisition and internal content expansion.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2016 | 2018 |
In 2016, H&M France implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) to consolidate reporting and analytics across its public and internal ecommerce surfaces. The deployment supported two front end applications, a Public Website and a RAMS internal website, with distinct role and authentication setups, and included the ability for H&M employees to authenticate to the Bid Now function using H&M Active Directory credentials. This implementation is classified under the Analytics and BI category and centers on SQL Server based data processing and reporting.
The technical implementation used SSIS for extract, transform, and load tasks, ingesting data from text files, Excel spreadsheets, and Access sources into MS SQL Server 2013. SQL Server Reporting Services was used to build custom SSRS reports for scorecards and business trends across different locations, while SQL Server Analysis Services provided analytical model support to feed those reports. Database work included stored procedures, triggers, views, indexing, and T SQL to encapsulate business logic and reduce front end query complexity.
Architecture followed a three tier architecture with explicit Business Logic Layer and Data Access Layer components implemented alongside MVC5 and C# front ends. Integration points included Active Directory for RAMS authentication, WCF services for B2B and B2C communication, and Entity Framework and LINQ based data access patterns. IIS hosted ASP NET applications and the environment leveraged standard web service and RESTful endpoints to surface reporting and transactional data.
Governance and delivery practices included design for test driven development using dependency injection via the Unity framework and a generic repository pattern, with unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and system testing performed as part of quality assurance. Development practices emphasized modular BLL and DAL separation, route and security controls at the application layer, and server side validation and master page layout for consistent presentation. The full application name Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) was used as the primary analytics stack for governance and support documentation.
Operational scope focused on ecommerce functionality and internal employee access control, enabling analytics for multi location operations and reporting consumers across internal teams and external facing channels. Implemented capabilities aligned with typical Analytics and BI workflows, providing ETL, semantic models, and scheduled reporting to support business users and operational teams without explicit external implementation partner references.
