In 2016, Hogan Lovells implemented Access TeamSeer. Access TeamSeer was put into service as the firm’s Absence Management application to centralize holiday recording and day to day absence workflows within HR operations.
The implementation emphasized core absence management capabilities, including holiday booking, absence recording, and support for reporting inputs used to generate performance metrics. Access TeamSeer was used alongside a master tracker process to ensure data was entered to agreed timelines, and to support cyclical HR processes such as salary and performance review administration and flexible benefits selection.
Operational integrations and data flows were explicitly maintained between Access TeamSeer and the firm’s HR landscape, with HR administrators responsible for updating data across Workday and TeamSeer to agreed accuracy standards, and for saving supporting documentation to the DM5 document management system in line with GDPR e filing protocols. The solution supported coordination between Johannesburg based HR administrators and the London HR Team, including monitoring of pre employment screening and escalating issues to the London team.
Governance was structured around documented processes, service level agreements and a master tracking schedule, with HR administrators tasked to follow lifecycle event procedures and to align their task management to the central tracker. The deployment embedded absence management workflows into broader HR operations and provided administrative support for discrete HR projects, while reinforcing compliance controls for data retention and e filing.

In 2018 Hogan Lovells implemented Nuix Discover E-Discovery (ex FTI Ringtail) to provide an enterprise Case Management foundation for litigation and e-discovery workflows. The deployment positioned Nuix Discover E-Discovery as the firm level platform for evidence ingestion, review workspace and case analytics within the Case Management category.
The implementation was configured to support standard e-discovery functional modules including data ingestion and processing, indexing and full text search, review and tagging workspaces, analytics driven clustering and near duplicate detection, and production set management. Nuix Discover E-Discovery was integrated with Hogan Lovells document repositories and matter systems, with connectors and ingestion pipelines configured for iManage eDocs, NetDocuments, and Elite 3E to pull matter metadata and source documents into the review environment.
Operational scope emphasized litigation support and matter teams within the United Kingdom practice, with governance instituted around centralized case intake, standardized review protocols, custodian and chain of custody controls, and role based access for review teams. The program focused on configuring workflows to align legal operations, litigation support and knowledge management with the Nuix Discover E-Discovery case management capabilities.
