SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Hotelbeds Group implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial platform. Hotelbeds Group, headquartered in Spain, deployed SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to consolidate core finance functions across corporate accounting, treasury, and financial reporting. The SAP ERP ECC 6.0 implementation emphasized core financial modules consistent with the ERP Financial category, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, period close and consolidated financial reporting. Configuration work centered on harmonizing the chart of accounts, standardizing financial workflows, and building statutory reporting templates to support group-level accounting. During procurement Hotelbeds conducted a benchmarking and needs analysis, evaluating both Sage and SAP, and noted prior use of the Sage XRT Treasury platform in its treasury operations. Requirements and vendor proposals explicitly addressed treasury connectivity and technical interfaces, reflecting a deployment intent to align treasury processes with the new SAP financial ledgers. The selection phase lasted approximately six months and included a broader analysis from June to December 2012, with cross-functional finance and treasury stakeholders defining business and technical requirements and soliciting vendor proposals. Governance for the rollout centered on finance process owners and technical teams to standardize accounting procedures and operational controls under the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial backbone.

SAP Legacy SAP HCM Compensation Compensation Management HCM n/a 2017 2017
In 2017 Hotelbeds Group implemented SAP HCM Compensation as part of an HRIS renewal to formalize pay governance and planning. SAP HCM Compensation was deployed as the core Compensation Management application within Hotelbeds Group SAP estate to manage salary planning, merit cycles, and variable pay processes. The SAP HCM Compensation deployment was configured to support standard compensation modules such as salary structures, eligibility rules, budget controls, multi-step approval workflows, and compensation statement generation. Configuration emphasis was on role-based approvals, eligibility segmentation by employee population, and automated population of compensation worksheets to accelerate annual review cycles. The implementation was integrated into the wider SAP landscape, aligning SAP HCM Compensation with SAP HR and SAP FI for employee master data, payroll inputs, and charge allocation. The program also interfaced with an existing Workday to SAP HR payroll feed as part of payroll management flows, and operated alongside other SAP HR initiatives being managed by Hotelbeds IT teams across Singapore, UK, Spain, USA, Israel, and Thailand. Governance was run through a focused HRIS task force and a technical program management layer, with a dedicated HR-IT team of five roles leading configuration and cutover tasks. Process changes included establishing formal change control for compensation policy updates, defining user lifecycle and access for global HR users, and adopting JIRA based HR operations support for ongoing ticketing and incident management.
