SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2016
In 2016, Howard Energy Partners implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 as its ERP Financial application supporting finance, procurement, manufacturing and sales business functions. The implementation included security and role engineering across SAP environments, and addressed end user support through an offshore team of four to deliver troubleshooting and resolve communication issues. Role design and configuration work focused on SAP ERP ECC 6.0 security roles and profiles for 2K+ end users across ECC, BW, GRC and Solution Manager. Roles were redesigned and tested for FI/CO, MM, PP, CRM, SD and other functional modules, with segregation of duties principles embedded into role matrices and documented within application functional and technical roles. Operational and administration tasks were executed using standard SAP transactions SU01, SU10 and PFCG to create, change, maintain and delete user accounts, roles and authorizations. Functional and integration testing validated role behavior across modules and environments, and security solutions were integrated into functional workflows to ensure consistent authorization enforcement. Governance work included configuration of GRC 10.0 modules ARA, EAM and ARM, customization of authorization objects, fields and organizational levels, and alignment of security work with wider system strategies. The program combined role administration, documented controls and GRC automation to institutionalize segregation of duties controls and ongoing access governance.
