In 2022, Huisman Equipment deployed Intershop Order Management as part of a global Intershop-based service portal named myHuisman. The myHuisman portal provides an online spare parts shop, a technical library and service and ticketing capabilities to support after sales and maintenance for vessel and offshore customers.
Intershop Order Management functions as the Order Management component within the portal, handling spare parts ordering, order orchestration, inventory visibility and regional fulfillment workflows. Configured capabilities include product catalog and pricing, cart and checkout, order lifecycle management and inventory reservation, aligning with standard Order Management functional terminology for parts commerce.
The implementation was delivered by Fenego and embedded Intershop Order Management into myHuisman to expose catalog, ordering and service ticket data across Huisman service centers and regional fulfillment hubs. The deployment architecture centers on a single customer facing portal with an Order Management layer that provides centralized inventory visibility and routing of fulfillment across sites.
Operational scope covers after sales, parts fulfillment and field maintenance functions for vessel and offshore customer accounts, and the technical library and ticketing features support service engineering workflows. The rollout targeted improved parts access and enabling predictive and prescriptive maintenance capabilities by unifying spare parts ordering, inventory visibility and fulfillment processes through Intershop Order Management.

In 2018 Huisman Equipment began implementing OneStream XF, deploying the OneStream XF application in the EPM category to unify financial consolidation and project reporting across its global operations. The implementation was delivered with Finext as the implementation partner, and the program aimed to bring dispersed reporting into a single, auditable platform in time for statutory reporting in January.
The initial implementation approach replicated existing Excel reporting to accelerate go-live, then evolved into a structured application design with project-first configuration. Functional modules and capabilities implemented include consolidated financial reporting, project accounting and reporting, contract forecasting, employee hours and rates capture, capacity planning, and interactive drill-down from project summary to employee-level detail. The environment supports 50 plus standardized reports and self-service analysis for line-of-business users and corporate finance.
Huisman chose OneStream Cloud deployed via Microsoft Azure to provide a managed, scalable runtime for the EPM solution. The OneStream XF implementation consolidated data coming from a Dutch-built ERP at headquarters, several local ERP systems in subsidiaries, and multiple Excel-based sites into a single data model, supporting multi-currency project and contract structures. Operational scope covers project and contract lifecycle management across Huisman production locations, service stations and engineering offices worldwide, with roughly 100 line-of-business users and 25 corporate finance users interacting with the platform.
Governance and process changes were formalized to standardize data definitions, reconcile project and financial data, and support statutory and audit processes. The rollout began in September 2018 with an initial quick-win replication of legacy spreadsheets, followed by iterative refinement to bring projects fully into scope and balance project reporting with consolidated financials. Controls for data validation and drill-through reporting were established to reduce data disagreements and speed audit readiness.
Explicit outcomes documented include capturing 90 percent of project data in OneStream XF, enabling reconciliation across systems and forecasting of contracts from detailed project-level inputs. Huisman reports auditable, extendable data for forecasting operational expenses, revenue and margins by project, tracking hours for roughly 600 employees across projects, and accelerating reporting cadence from monthly to weekly with plans for daily tracking. The unified OneStream XF EPM deployment provided Huisman clearer visibility into contract performance and reduced surprises in consolidated financial results.
