In 2017 Columbia ICAP consolidated global payroll processing onto UKG One View (formerly Immedis), using the platform to address multi-country statutory compliance and federally mandated donor reporting. The implementation targeted the Payroll,PEO (Professional Employer Organization) category to centralize payments for roughly 1,500 employees across 26 countries and to align payroll controls with tight university financial governance.
UKG One View was configured to automate validation checks and to process payroll payments in local currencies as well as US dollars, delivering both local and USD currency based journal entries. Functional capabilities implemented included automated payroll payment processing, compliance reporting automation, and journal entry generation to support treasury management, which reduced manual input and lowered error rates as reported by the client.
The deployment operationalized automated e-cert generation to meet donor reporting timeframes and enforced statutory payroll validations across each jurisdiction in the 26-country footprint. The Immedis Platform provided centralized reporting workflows and currency-aware journal output that facilitated Columbia ICAP’s treasury and reconciliation activities while operating within the university’s federal funding controls.
Operational governance included collaborative support from the Immedis Operations Team to address issues and maintain runbooks, and the project centered on streamlining the Payroll,PEO (Professional Employer Organization) processes within Columbia ICAP’s Payroll department. Columbia ICAP reported more effective and efficient payroll operations following consolidation, with streamlined reporting and faster e-cert issuance for donors.
