SAP Legacy SAP Business Suite ERP Financial ERP n/a 2011 2011
In 2011, Imperial Tobacco Group PLC implemented SAP Business Suite as its core ERP Financial platform, executing an IS program that ran from business requirements collection through Go-Live and into post Go-Live support. The program positioned SAP Business Suite to centralize financial accounting and transactional processing while serving as the integration hub for adjacent enterprise systems. The implementation included SAP modules MM, SD, FI and SRM, with configured procurement workflows, order to cash processes, supplier relationship management and financial ledger integration. EDI interfaces were deployed to exchange transactional documents with trading partners, and master data governance was established to support consistent item, vendor and customer records across SAP Business Suite. The SAP Business Suite rollout was integrated with a HR portal implemented on Web Tutor and with CRM systems implemented as Siebel and Salesforce.com to support roughly 600 field force users. A Business Intelligence layer was implemented using SAP Business Objects, consolidating 15 data sources to provide reporting and analytics across finance, sales, procurement and HR functions, and the EDI layer tied into supply chain and order management processes. Governance was organized under a combined IS and business project management structure, with IT project management leading the HR portal and SAP modules through configuration and cutover, and business project management leading CRM and BI delivery. The program included phased rollouts, formal handover to operations and post Go-Live support, aligning application configuration, process documentation and change control to stabilize ERP Financial operations.

Oracle Legacy Oracle Siebel CRM CRM n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Imperial Tobacco Group PLC deployed Oracle Siebel as its CRM to establish a unified customer engagement and market intelligence capability for its Spanish operations. The initiative reported to the Chief Strategy Officer and created a Spanish market BI and CRM department that was later extended to cover four additional markets in the Iberia Cluster. Oracle Siebel was configured to support core CRM functions including sales force automation, account and contact management, campaign and loyalty management, and operational reporting, aligned with Sales and Marketing Intelligence and Operations analysis and planning. Implementation work produced business intelligence deliverables such as an automated BI system, sales representative performance tracking, customer and investment segmentations, sell out extrapolation, a consumer loyalty program, and competitor monitoring. The technical architecture combined Oracle Siebel with SQL Server and Oracle databases and used Business Objects and Microstrategy for reporting and analytics, creating a layered operational store and analytics layer to surface market intelligence. Data workflows and reporting were organized to provide agile access to Marketing, Trade Marketing, and Sales stakeholders and to support planning and operational analysis across the Iberia Cluster. Governance placed the new function under the Chief Strategy Officer with a Business Intelligence Manager accountable for department creation, alignment to internal customers, and delivery cadence. Successful projects explicitly delivered under this program included an automated BI system, sales representative performance dashboards, customer and investment segmentations, sell out extrapolation models, a consumer loyalty program, and a CRM migration to Oracle Siebel, all supporting improved operational decision making for Marketing and Sales.
