The Sage Intacct configuration emphasized accounts payable processing, general ledger management, bank reconciliation, and journal entry workflows. Accounts payable workflows included invoice validation, approval routing, and payment initiation for ACH, wire, and check disbursements, with activity posted directly to Sage Intacct. The system was used to record corporate card activity, reconcile monthly card charges, and support month end closing procedures including preparation of audit ready journal entries.
Sage Intacct was integrated with Corpay for payable processing and vendor payments, enabling verification of invoice details, execution of vendor payments, and a single posting destination in Sage Intacct. The implementation supported international finance responsibilities, including assistance with international payroll disbursements and compliance tasks such as preparation and filing of Miscellaneous 1099 forms, domestic and international sales tax filings, county tangible property tax reconciliations, and country specific reporting requirements referenced by the organization. Operational coverage centered on the finance and accounting team, collaborating with purchasing and other operating departments to reconcile transactions and confirm bank details when required.
Governance and process ownership were directed by the Assistant Controller, with the Accounting Operations Specialist role operating as a primary Sage Intacct user to execute payables, reconciliations, and compliance filings. Monthly financial closings and year end audit support were embedded in Sage Intacct driven workflows, including general ledger reconciliations and structured journal entry processes. Role based access controls and documented procedures were applied to support segregation of duties across accounts payable, reconciliation, and compliance functions.
