In-House Applications Jack Henry Banking SilverLake In-House banking System Core Banking ERP Services and Operations n/a 2014 2014
In 2014, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China USA implemented an In-House banking System in the Core Banking category. The deployment replaced Jack Henry Banking SilverLake for general ledger and accounting workflows, aligning the US accounting platform with the head office in-house system. The In-House banking System implementation focused on core accounting and ledger capabilities, including general ledger processing, accounts payable controls and approvals, daily and month-end close orchestration, account reconciliations, and the production of regulatory reporting schedules. Regulatory outputs referenced in documentation and testing included FFIEC041 and weekly FR2644 and FR2900 reporting, and the solution supported U.S. GAAP aligned schedules, budgeting, projections and forecasting processes. Integration work centered on aligning the US office general ledger and reporting feeds with the head office in-house platform used by the firm, preserving accounting codification and approval workflows during cutover. Operational coverage included the New York accounting team and staff accountants who performed daily close tasks, AP processing including year-end 1099 workflows, and the preparatory schedules required for quarterly Call report submissions. Governance and rollout was driven by internal finance ownership, with the Assistant Accounting Manager providing detailed business requirements, testing coordination, and feedback during the migration. Process changes included tighter month-end control procedures, reconciliation review points and updated policies and procedures for U.S. GAAP, and the team implemented advanced Excel formulas to facilitate efficiency and improve the accuracy of accounting data and reports.
