Integrations were implemented using Talend for ETL and data integration and Automation Anywhere for RPA-driven data feeds and report triggering, aligning system-to-system data flows into Cognos. The implementation also ingested transactional data from a bespoke Java based manufacturing system, while Jira and Confluence were adopted to manage development tasks, helpdesk tickets and documentation for the Cognos program.
Governance combined centralized IT control of Cognos configuration with delegated business ownership of report content, enforced through Jira workflows and Confluence standards documentation. The operating model emphasized defined data modelling practices, report development standards and coordinated release processes between solution architects, software developers and production stakeholders.
