The deployment also involved FIORI application provisioning to provide role based access to transactional and analytical finance functions.
Integrations and operational services included FIORI application security access configured through OKTA for Single Sign On and Single Logout with authentication against LDAP, and SAP Solution Manager 7.2 upgrade, integration and configuration to support application lifecycle and change control. The program evaluated cloud providers including AWS, Azure and Virtustream and determined a hybrid cloud approach for HANA and non HANA SAP workloads during architecture planning. Resourcing was organized across onshore, near shore and offshore teams, with task delegation, progress tracking and contract negotiations with system integrators including determination of RICEF objects and delegation responsibilities.
Governance work established SAP GRC for user request handling, authentication, roles mapping, segregation of duties and governance workflows, and operations and administration standard operating procedures documented under FDA documentation guidelines and approvals. The implementation emphasized auditability and controlled role provisioning to align ERP Financial controls with life sciences compliance requirements. SAP Solution Manager and SAP GRC were positioned as the backbone for operational governance and ongoing change management.
