In 2012, Invesco Canada implemented Oracle PeopleSoft HCM as its Core HR system to support Human Resources functions across the firm. Oracle PeopleSoft HCM served as the primary transactional HR platform while the firm produced data and statistical reporting including head count and internal audits using a combination of Business Objects, PeopleSoft HR, Oracle Business Intelligence, and Alteryx.
The implementation centralized workforce data and configured PeopleSoft HR to support personnel records, headcount reconciliation and audit focused reporting workflows. Reporting capabilities were operated through Oracle Business Objects and Oracle Business Intelligence, with Alteryx used for data preparation and automation of statistic production.
Integrations linked Oracle PeopleSoft HCM to Business Objects and Oracle Business Intelligence for downstream analytics, and to Alteryx for ETL style data blending and transformation as part of the reporting pipeline. Operational coverage included Human Resources and internal audit teams, with responsibilities spanning production of head count metrics, statutory reporting inputs and internal audit evidence generation.
Project support activities included integration design, user acceptance testing and technical assistance for ongoing report production and HR application maintenance. Governance emphasis focused on UAT workflows and consultation between HR, analytics and IT teams to sustain the Oracle PeopleSoft HCM driven reporting environment.

| Microsoft | Legacy | Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) | Analytics and BI | Analytics and BI | n/a | 2015 | 2018 |
In 2015, Invesco Canada implemented Microsoft BI (SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, SQL Server Reporting) to create and manage workforce reporting and to enable cost effective strategies aimed at maximising workforce utilization. The deployment emphasized Analytics and BI capabilities to support workforce management, IT incident tracking, and cross-team coordination between development and QA functions.
Microsoft BI implementation used SSRS as the primary reporting and delivery engine, including linked reports, report snapshots, and complex expressions for grouping, filtering, parameterization, and in-report calculations. SSAS was employed for analytical modeling and report models, while SSIS provided ETL orchestration to populate SQL Server models. The team analysed reports, fixed bugs in stored procedures, and redesigned T-SQL objects, including indexes, views, stored procedures, and functions to optimize query performance.
Integrations included incident management workflows connected to ServiceNow and other operational tools for ticket handling and lifecycle tracking. The implementation coordinated closely with Development, QA, and other IT teams, with the creation of test scripts and formal quality assurance activities to validate report logic and data feeds. Operational coverage extended to workforce managers, IT support teams, and client service teams who handled incoming calls and relied on timely reports for day to day decisions.
Governance was reinforced through report model management, snapshot schedules, and QA driven release processes, aligning reporting ownership with business and IT stakeholders. The Microsoft BI rollout supported the explicit objective of implementing new cost effective strategies to maximise utilization of workforce, while embedding incident management and QA workflows into the reporting lifecycle.
