Operational ownership rested with the Financial Systems Manager, whose remit included development, implementation and administration of the firm ERP and supporting BI reporting and analysis.
Governance included centralized expense policy enforcement, approval routing and formalized processes for annual upgrades and disaster recovery testing. The Financial Systems Manager established interim goals to improve the month-end close process and reduce risk while administering both the ERP and the expense platform.
