OneStream Software LLC Legacy OneStream XF EPM EPM Black Diamond Advisory 2019 2019 In 2019, John B. Sanfilippo & Son implemented OneStream XF as their EPM platform. The project was delivered to consolidate sales and finance reporting into a single cloud platform, and the implementation was executed with OneStream Consulting Services alongside implementation partner Black Diamond Advisory. The scope of the deployment included GL reporting, forecast and financial planning, balance sheet comparisons, income statement comparisons and a sales cube. OneStream XF was configured to accept direct user entry for sales forecasts, to perform allocations at the customer level, and to automate calculation engines that previously required extensive manual Excel manipulation, with Analytic Blend technology used to handle larger sales datasets. Operational coverage spanned finance, demand planning and sales functions, with over 50 concurrent users and plant managers at four production sites entering costs and forecasts. The team migrated reporting and forecasting workloads out of SAP BPC into OneStream XF, deploying the platform in the cloud, bringing the financial footprint live in about three months and completing the sales cube in six months. Governance and process changes centralized control of a single master template in OneStream XF rather than maintaining 30 separate Excel templates, and enabled an audit trail to track who changed values and why. The rollout included two platform upgrades performed smoothly, and reported benefits included automation freeing up central finance resources and a reduction in the forecasting cycle from two weeks to two days. John B. Sanfilippo & Son continues to evaluate extending OneStream XF with add on capabilities such as demand planning, machine learning and transaction matching via the OneStream MarketPlace.
