In 2018 JRL Group implemented COINS HR & Payroll to manage Payroll for both monthly and weekly employees. The Payroll implementation covered approximately 2,500 employees across JRL Group and centralized pay processing for construction project staff and salaried personnel.
The deployment delivered full control over the COINS Payroll module and associated finance modules, with configuration and testing carried through to Go Live. Functional capabilities implemented included weekly and monthly payroll runs, pay element configuration, tax and statutory calculation workflows, and alignment of payroll cost lines to project and contract structures within COINS.
Integration work included a data migration from a third party payroll application into COINS and an operational integration to the Core Finance module via Cost Batch posting through Cost Heads and relevant projects. Operational coverage focused on payroll and finance business functions, ensuring payroll postings flowed into project accounting and contract costing processes.
Governance and rollout were executed as a coordinated systems accounting and payroll program, moving from configuration to production cutover while maintaining transactional control. Support tooling was developed using Excel VBA to load large payroll data sets, reduce manual entry, and improve accuracy during recurring payroll processing and initial data migration.
