In 2015, Just Group implemented SAS Business Intelligence as a core component of its Analytics and BI capabilities. The deployment was executed as part of the enterprise data warehouse program to centralize reporting and analytics for retail merchandising, marketing, supply chain, and eCommerce functions. SAS Business Intelligence was configured to deliver centralized reporting, interactive dashboards, ad hoc analysis, and semantic reporting layers to support merchandise planning and loyalty program analysis. The implementation aligned BI reporting and metadata with the enterprise data model, and supported scheduled reporting and analytic workflows for merchandising and campaign teams. Integrations were explicit and broad, including Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse for consolidated data storage, Microsoft Analysis and Reporting Services, TM1 for merchandise planning, POS systems with ADSL store connectivity and customer counting feeds, Manhattan Scale warehouse management system migration and integration, email marketing provider connections for campaign execution, and data feeds from eCommerce, iSeries, and Java application stacks. These integrations established a single analytical fabric spanning stores, warehouses, eCommerce, and marketing systems. Operational governance and rollout were managed through the Data Warehouse Manager role and the Application Development Manager responsible for BI and eCommerce teams, with phased delivery tied to multi channel retail initiatives such as Store to Door and Click and Collect. The SAS Business Intelligence deployment supported the Just Shop and JacquiE loyalty program reporting, customer segmentation and campaign execution workflows across retail and marketing business functions.
