In 2005, Kahramaa implemented Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as its ERP Financial system to consolidate finance and accounting operations. The engagement began with formal requirement gathering and fit gap analysis to map statutory and corporate controls into the application design.
Solution design and technical documentation captured configuration of core finance capabilities typical of ERP Financial deployments, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed asset accounting, aligned to Kahramaa chart of accounts and transaction flows. Configuration work emphasized transaction automation, period end orchestration and role based access control, and technical artifacts were produced to guide cutover and stabilization.
Integration work connected Oracle APEX with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne as part of business process automation, using APEX to provide lightweight process orchestration and user interfaces that reference JDE transactional services. The integration scope included documented data mappings and interface specifications to preserve fiscal data integrity between APEX forms and JDE enterprise transactions.
Operational coverage targeted Kahramaa finance and corporate administrative departments in Qatar, with corporate trainings delivered to finance and IT staff and ongoing techno functional support provided for post go live support. Governance was enforced through solution design signoffs, formal change control processes and knowledge transfer plans recorded in the technical documentation.

The initiative began in March 2020 and was executed as a lead transformation project focused on Billing and Customer Relation Management Processes on an Oracle Solution Stack, with a project schedule of 22 months to go-live and 18 months of post go-live support.
Oracle Utilities Analytics, classified in the Analytics and BI category, was configured to deliver enterprise reporting, dashboards, and operational analytics aligned to billing and customer care workflows. The implementation workstreams explicitly included Data Migration, Customer to Meter, Mobile Workforce Management, Web Portal and Mobile Application, Robotic Process Automation, and Oracle Digital Assistant, and Oracle Utilities Analytics was instrumented to consume and normalize data from those streams to support analytics and reporting.
The deployment architecture was organized within the Oracle Solution Stack and executed by a cross-functional team of more than 60 staff and multiple subcontractors, supporting integration points across Billing and Customer Relationship Management processes as part of the broader solution. Operational scope centered on the Customer Services Division and involved coordination with multiple business units to align analytics outputs to meter-to-cash and customer engagement operations.
Program governance emphasized delivery, scope, schedule, budget, and risk management, using established project plans, work breakdown structures, and burndown charts to track progress. Governance activities included chairing cross-functional workshops to finalize requirements and deliverables, managing internal and external stakeholders, asserting alignment between principals, vendors and business partners, and advising senior management on project health, progress, and challenges.
