Sage Legacy Sage Intacct ERP Financial ERP Baker Tilly Advisory Group 2020 2020
In 2020 Alaska Seaplanes implemented Sage Intacct as its core accounting platform. The deployment established Sage Intacct in the ERP Financial role for the company, centralizing accounting and receivables functions for the Finance and Administration team based at the Juneau office. Baker Tilly Advisory Group served as the implementation and advisory partner for configuration and rollout. Configuration emphasized accounts receivable workflows, customer account management, payment posting, and monthly reconciliations. Sage Intacct was configured to support customer statements, new account onboarding, NSF tracking, and role based access for the Accounts Receivable Specialist and Staff Accountant, with cross training documented to provide backup coverage for contract accounts. Operational integrations included the company reservation system for reconciled invoice imports and Versapay for customer portal and on demand access, both explicitly referenced in AR process responsibilities. The implementation enabled automated posting of incoming payments and reconciliation of external booking imports into the AR ledger, aligning reservations and accounting records. Governance and process changes centered on standardized monthly reconciliation between reservation records and Sage Intacct, an annual credit review workflow, and AR collections procedures including customer outreach for past due and NSF accounts. Baker Tilly Advisory Group provided implementation support, configuration guidance, and training to operationalize these workflows within the Finance and Administration team.
