American Axle & Manufacturing | Manufacturing | 19000 | $6.1B | United States | Rockwell Automation | Rockwell Plex MES | Manufacturing ERP | 2014 |
In 2014, American Axle & Manufacturing deployed Rockwell Plex MES across its metal forming business unit. The Rockwell Plex MES implementation, classified as Manufacturing ERP, consolidated plant level operations across engineering, quality, inventory and production to establish a single operational backbone across US locations.
Configuration emphasized core Manufacturing ERP modules for production scheduling, inventory management, quality control and engineering change management, embedding quality checks into production workflows and standardizing shop floor data capture. The deployment implemented automated quality inspections and inventory transactions to support traceability and consistent production execution.
Operational data from Plex was integrated with corporate financial systems to provide a continuous flow of production and inventory metrics to finance and operations planners, and the implementation covered multiple US plant sites within the metal forming unit. Baker Tilly Advisory Group served as the system integrator and advisory partner during the rollout and governance establishment.
Governance changes formalized production quality checkpoints and decision workflows so plant operators and corporate planners could make faster, data driven decisions. The rollout produced stated operational outcomes, improving inventory turns by 5 to 10 percent and increasing manufacturing output by approximately 5 percent across the deployed plants.

American Axle & Manufacturing | Manufacturing | 19000 | $6.1B | United States | Plex Systems | Plex ERP - Inventory Management | Inventory Management | 2014 |
In 2014, American Axle & Manufacturing implemented Plex ERP - Inventory Management across its metal forming business in the United States to capture shop-floor inventory control and quality management. The deployment targeted Inventory Management, production performance tracking, and the integration of operational data into corporate financial reporting.
Implementation centered on the inventory and quality modules within Plex ERP - Inventory Management, configured for real-time shop-floor inventory transactions, lot and serial traceability, and quality nonconformance workflows. Configuration also included production performance capture to align shop-floor counts with operational reporting and to feed consolidated operational data into corporate financial reporting.
Baker Tilly Advisory Group acted as the system integrator for the rollout, executing deployments across AAM plants in the United States and coordinating data consolidation for corporate reporting. Governance changes established traceability controls, quality compliance workflows, and process routing so shop-floor events became part of centralized reporting and audit trails.
The initiative produced explicit outcomes of a 5–10% improvement in inventory turns, an approximately 5% increase in manufacturing output, and stronger traceability and compliance across plants. By centralizing Inventory Management with Plex ERP - Inventory Management, American Axle & Manufacturing connected shop-floor controls to finance and quality functions to standardize operational reporting.

Boise State University | Education | 3682 | $593M | United States | Oracle | Oracle Cloud HCM | Core HR | 2020 |
In 2020, Boise State University implemented Oracle Cloud HCM as its Core HR solution, migrating from Oracle PeopleSoft HCM with Baker Tilly Advisory Group serving as the implementation partner. The university moved to Oracle Cloud HCM after prolonged burden from on premise customizations and to align HR with an existing Oracle ERP Cloud foundation, adopting a big bang approach with all modules going live concurrently.
The implementation deployed Oracle Cloud HCM for Core HR, payroll, benefits, absence, and time and labor, and emphasized manager and employee self service to shift transactions to end users. Baker Tilly used a Harmonize phase to drive a common model design, configure leading practices embedded in the suite, and ensure end to end efficiencies across HR and finance foundational data structures. As configured, Oracle Cloud HCM enabled automation of 98% of HR processes, improved transaction status tracking and auditing, and reduced the university’s need for custom reports by over half.
Architecturally the solution is cloud native and integrated with Boise State’s existing Oracle ERP Cloud, providing a single data source across Campus, Finance, and HR and enabling consistent transactional and master data. The Oracle Cloud HCM deployment emphasized embedded self service and user initiated transactions to lower day to day HR transaction volume, while making employee and manager data more accessible and timely within the application user interface.
Governance and operational readiness were included in the rollout, with Baker Tilly positioned as an extension of the Boise State team to support change management, process redesign, and continuous improvement. Boise State reported that the platform positioned the institution to operationalize, govern, sustain and drive continuous improvement on one platform, and allowed HR resources to be redeployed toward more strategic, mission focused activities.
