The deployment centralized Inventory Management and embedded MES and quality controls for a 200-employee manufacturing operation with $76,000,000 in revenue. The Plex ERP - Inventory Management implementation focused on barcode-driven inventory tracking, purchase order workflow automation, and embedded manufacturing execution system and quality process controls. Configuration emphasized traceability and real-time stock status, and purchasing was streamlined to support rapid PO creation and approval. Operationally the program unified shop floor barcode scans, inventory transactions, MES usage, and quality records at the Grand Rapids site, consolidating transactional and operational data flows that had been spread across 27 disparate applications. This consolidation created a single Inventory Management record of truth tied to production and quality activities, improving traceability across components and finished goods. Governance and rollout followed a seven-month implementation schedule at the Grand Rapids facility, with process changes focused on eliminating manual entry and accelerating procurement cycles. The program eliminated approximately 40 hours per week of manual data entry, cut PO processing from multi-day timelines to about five minutes, and enabled real-time inventory tracking and traceability through Plex ERP - Inventory Management.
