Infor Legacy Infor Lawson ERP Financial ERP n/a 2017 2017
In 2017, Kennedy Krieger Institute implemented Infor Lawson as its ERP Financial system. The institute, a US-based pediatric care and research organization with approximately 2,500 employees, moved to digitize paper-based, manual processes and to provide employees with instant access to self-service administrative capabilities. The implementation emphasized procurement and finance capabilities within Infor Lawson, with configuration aligned to ERP Financial workflows such as purchase requisitioning, purchase order lifecycle coordination, and accounts payable invoice processing. Kennedy Krieger used MHC Software to create a flexible, employee-facing self-service layer, and Infor Lawson was configured to consume transactional inputs from that layer to maintain financial and procurement ledgers. Integrations centered on linking the MHC Software self-service platform into Infor Lawson transaction processing, enabling requisitions and procurement approvals to flow into the ERP financial posting and AP workflows. Operational coverage included central finance and procurement teams along with employee administrative workflows across the institute, preserving a single financial record of procurement activity. Governance and process restructuring included standardizing approval routing, centralizing procurement controls, and automating invoice routing to align with Infor Lawson master data and chart of accounts. The move to a paperless, instant-access self-service platform using MHC Software enhanced use of Infor Lawson for procurement and finance transactions and reportedly delighted employees by removing manual paperwork.

Epic Systems Legacy EPIC EHR Electronic Health Record ERP Services and Operations n/a 2018 2018
In 2018, Kennedy Krieger Institute implemented EPIC EHR, deploying an Electronic Health Record solution as part of a multimillion dollar software and hardware upgrade. The initiative targeted clinical and IT workflows across multiple campuses and was executed by the institute IT organization. The IT team completed a manual inventory of more than three thousand devices spanning twelve locations in Baltimore City and Anne Arundel County, cataloging PCs, monitors, networked and local printers, and other peripherals. Targeted hardware provisioning and replacements were performed to meet Epic support requirements, and both local and virtual machines were configured as part of the platform rollout. Deployment architecture included activation of new telephony equipment with cross-connects in network closets, and the project used a three phase Technical Dress Rehearsal methodology to validate device readiness. IT staff trained non-IS personnel to execute TDR procedures, and after dress rehearsals IT personnel supported the vendor in troubleshooting software and hardware integration points across local and virtual environments. The EPIC EHR implementation was instrumented with Fresh Service Asset Management Systems and tied to Budget Controls to track assets and expenditures. Operational scope covered IS and clinical departments across all twelve sites, including facilitation of department moves and coordination of network and endpoint readiness. Governance focused on asset reconciliation, runbook driven TDR execution, and staged cutover readiness to operationalize EPIC EHR for IT and clinical operations.
