In 2015, Kfc South Africa implemented Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) as the ETL backbone of a Microsoft BI solution delivered by Prosys Infotech. The deployment centralized ingestion of transactional point of sale POS data from more than 900 restaurants into a relational data warehouse to enable Analytics and BI for sales and operations analytics across KFC Africa.
The implementation combined Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL, SQL Server Analysis Services tabular modeling for the semantic layer, and Power BI for visualization and reporting, ensuring an end to end Microsoft BI stack. SSIS packages orchestrated extraction, transformation, and load workflows, and incorporated data validation and cleansing routines to improve data accuracy and to support automated report generation.
Integrations were focused on transactional POS feeds from 900 plus restaurant sites into the relational data warehouse, with SSIS coordinating scheduled load pipelines and processing across the region. Operational coverage targeted store level reporting and regional rollups, enabling analysts and operations teams to consume unified store performance metrics via Power BI dashboards.
Prosys Infotech is documented as the implementation partner responsible for delivery and BI configuration. The solution produced a 360 degree view of store performance and improved data accuracy and reporting automation for Kfc South Africa.
