SAP Legacy SAP ERP ECC 6.0 ERP Financial ERP n/a 2016 2019
In 2016, Kimberly-Clark Trading (M) Sdn Bhd implemented SAP ERP ECC 6.0 to support ERP Financial operations across its Malaysia trading subsidiary. The rollout focused on finance and supply chain accounting workflows for an organization of approximately 1200 employees, centering on accounts, tax compliance, and automated payment processing. Implementation work concentrated on core modules including FSCM, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Project Systems, with SAP ERP ECC 6.0 configured through SPRO for these functional areas. The team conducted requirement gathering, functional analysis, prepared functional specifications, and planned enhancement timelines to align configuration with business process requirements. Technical integration and enhancements included a Finance Supply Chain Management enhancement for automatic payment using SAP Data Medium Exchange integration with Citibank Australia, and SAP form customization for Tax Invoice, Credit Note, Debit Note, and Original Receipt. The program also encompassed a GST upgrade where resources acted as tester, and the delivery lifecycle incorporated unit testing, user acceptance testing, and production acceptance testing to validate design and avoid conflicts in implemented changes. Operational governance established 3rd level incident support and a formal service request process for FSCM, GL, AR, AP, and PS, embedding ongoing enhancement planning into the support model. This governance centralized functional ownership of SAP ERP ECC 6.0 for ERP Financial, enforced SPRO configuration control, and formalized testing and acceptance handoffs between development, test, and production environments.

Workday Legacy Workday HCM Core HR HCM n/a 2016 2019
In 2016, Kimberly-Clark Trading (M) Sdn Bhd implemented Workday HCM. The deployment targeted Core HR to centralize transactional HR processing and align country HR operations in Malaysia with the APAC shared service center and Global HRIS governance. The Workday HCM implementation covered system management and core functional configuration, including execution of complex and time sensitive transactions, administering business process approvals, and reassigning workflow tasks. The program formalized guidance on transfers, promotions, delegation and the use of Employee/Manager Direct Access, and included security access audits, release testing and structured system training to build regional HR capability. Operationally the rollout partnered with the Global HRIS team, the APC Workday Super User and APAC country HR teams to manage the HR Dashboard and run standardized reporting. Reporting and analytics responsibilities included producing audit support reports, delivering predictive analytics for HR projects and talent processes, and linking practices with the global HR analytics team to share methods and updates. Governance workstreams focused on designing a service level agreement between the country and the shared service center, preparing roles and responsibilities with the shared service centre, and leading process mapping to identify gaps between shared service scope and country operations. The team proposed alternative solutions based on identified gaps with business user buy in, planned the change management approach for migration, and prepared a monthly dashboard on SLA and informational metrics for stakeholder review. Day to day Workday system management responsibilities were established to provide expert advice to local HR teams and to escalate issues to HRIS when necessary, perform security access audits, and provide backup support for regional HR consultants. The implementation also included onboarding and capability building for new APAC HR consultants to sustain Core HR operations within Workday HCM.
