In 2015, KinderCare Education implemented Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP Financial. The rollout delivered a centralized financial application landscape to support accounts receivable invoicing, customer master management, and general ledger processing across the organization.
Implementation work included configuration and extension of Oracle E-Business Suite core financial modules, notably General Ledger and Accounts Receivable. Development activities encompassed PL/SQL methods for submitting and registering concurrent programs, defining concurrent programs and executables, and creating value sets and value set values. The team developed and customized reports, forms, interfaces, and conversions, prepared technical documentation, and maintained enhancements driven by client requirements.
The architecture integrated SOA BPEL processes to enable real time interfaces such as Customer Master creation and update from an order entry system, synchronization of customer profile information back to the order entry system, and customer invoice transaction number updates back to the order entry system. Oracle Service Bus OSB was provisioned for content based routing, transformation, and error handling, with business and proxy services developed on OSB. Technology adapters used included FTP Adapter, DB Adapter, and Apps adapter, and the implementation configured JDBC connection pools, data sources, JMS servers, distributed destinations, queues, topics, Security Authenticator, and Managed Security Realms. Interfaces extracting base table data to flat files used UTL_FILE and mapping documents and template files were created to describe required and optional columns and the mapping to GL interface columns.
Operational governance included development of a common SOA error handling framework, automated job scheduling and monitoring, registration of PL/SQL packages, forms, menus, and reports as concurrent programs in Oracle 11i, and maintenance processes for client driven enhancements. Documentation and templated mapping artifacts supported data governance and inbound file validation, while the GL Interface journal import package validated and imported journals to General Ledger. The implementation positioned Oracle E-Business Suite to serve ERP Financial functions with integrated middleware governance and scheduled operational monitoring.

The deployment uses Phenom People technology and targets enterprise recruiting functions within KinderCare Education, focusing on sustained candidate engagement and talent pipelining.
Phenom Talent CRM was configured to manage talent pools, segment candidates by skills and interest, run automated nurture campaigns, and personalize career site touchpoints, reflecting core Candidate Relationship Management functionality. The implementation centralized candidate profiles and recruiter-facing dashboards, and it employed role-based access and configurable workflows to map recruiter activity to hiring stages.
As part of the Phenom People suite, Phenom Talent CRM was positioned to consolidate candidate interactions for corporate recruiting, campus recruiting, and talent marketing teams, creating a single engagement layer for outreach and relationship building. The configuration emphasized unified candidate records and standardized communication templates to maintain consistent candidate experiences across touchpoints.
Governance centered on data hygiene, segmented nurture cadences, and clear talent pool ownership assigned to recruiting teams. Rollout details prioritized configuration of recruiter workflows and content governance under the talent acquisition organization to standardize outreach and operationalize candidate relationship practices.

In 2016, KinderCare Education implemented Microsoft Power BI to establish a centralized Analytics and BI reporting capability across operational and executive functions. The rollout followed an evaluation of Power BI and Tableau, with Crystal Reports used earlier for reporting, and focused on delivering a mix of scheduled and ad hoc reporting from the store level up to company level granularities.
The implementation included development of parameterized reports, cascading filters, drill through and drill down reports, charts, and sub reports using relational data warehouse models and OLAP cubes. Engineers created weekly and daily level reports that aggregated metrics from the lowest store granularity to the highest company view, and built ad hoc Power BI reports against the same semantic models to support business requirements.
Database and analytical layer work included creating tables with clustered and non clustered indexes, table valued functions, and modifying stored procedures to deliver new functionality on the fly. Multidimensional SSAS cubes and perspectives were designed, security levels were configured on the cubes, and SSIS packages were developed with configuration files and scheduled jobs to generate CSV files for downstream processing.
Report distribution and operational integration used SharePoint for hosted report delivery, and developers collaborated with database administrators to deploy report objects to production servers. The team produced deployment documentation, executed unit testing, and participated in functional testing and user acceptance sessions to capture and act on feedback.
Performance tuning was a continuous focus, with index creation and stored procedure modifications aimed at faster response when Power BI reports were rendered on SharePoint. Microsoft Power BI was explicitly used as the Analytics and BI application to centralize reporting, while existing SSAS and SSIS artifacts provided the data integration and semantic layers for the solution.
