In 2010, Kjell and Company implemented Extenda NYCE.LOGIC to modernize and automate its central warehouse operations in Sweden. The deployment used Extenda NYCE.LOGIC as the Warehouse Management platform to consolidate store replenishment and ecommerce fulfillment workflows.
Configuration emphasized inventory control, order picking optimization, task orchestration, slotting rules, and distinct pallet pick and small parcel picking workflows, reflecting typical Warehouse Management functional modules. The implementation included automated task assignment and pick path optimization to increase throughput and support a mixed workload of store and ecommerce orders.
Operational scope covered the company's central distribution center in Sweden and supported both store distribution and ecommerce channels, aligning warehouse execution to multi channel fulfillment needs. Rollout targeted core warehouse operations including goods receipt, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing and dispatch processes.
Governance and process changes accompanied the system rollout, with warehouse workflow redesign and operational procedures updated to leverage NYCE.LOGIC task orchestration, and the solution later supported a move to a more automated facility. According to the vendor case study Extenda reported approximately 50% increased pallet pick efficiency and significant improvements in small parcel picking after the implementation.
